please accept my application…

Dear Captain of The Good Ship Lollipop,

Thank you for considering my application for the position of First Mate.

You will find me to possess all the qualities any captain could wish for; I am a team player with tremendous stamina, I have more inventive than most and as such, I am a creative problem solver. I prefer the high seas as I am often wet, not to mention dexterous, and long-limbed. I am always open to suggestions. I have the capacity to be both leader and follower and I look great in a uniform.

I have a wide range of interests including coaching a community Pocket Pool team at the local Legion, and I am variously voracious… I just finished reading the Booker Award winner, “Angel’s Threesome”.

Although I am diligent and willing to go into the wee hours of the morning, I also enjoy my down-time: I take great delight in swabbing the deck, polishing the harpoon, and whipping up a fresh batch of duck butter. It should be noted that I have a masters degree in walking the dog and tool manipulation.Β  As a bonus, I say what I mean and on a whim, can spell multisyllabic words such as “copulation.”

I would enjoy an opportunity to assume any and all positions as well as take a whack at any new positions that might arise out of necessity; I have a feeling you won’t regret a moment with me on board.

Thank you for taking the time to read me now. I wish you all the best in your search – may you find exactly what you’re looking for.

Sincerely Yours,

Lola Moi xo

      1. What’s the difference between multisyllabic and polysyllabic words? πŸ˜‰

And you haven’t addressed the probationary period before permanent placement in the position, no? πŸ˜‰

        1. Multi-Poly… you say tomay-toe, I say tomah-toe.
And since you’re asking about permanent placement in the position, I will say that I remain open-minded; I pride myself on being flexibile in multi-poly ways.
