a tug of greatness…

Goodnight, my little farting Nora, my dirty little fuckbird! There is one lovely word, darling, you have underlined to make me pull myself off better. Write me more about that and yourself, sweetly, dirtier, dirtier.

– James Joyce –

    Fantastical slipperiness.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. 🙂

🙂 missed your musings, images and conversations

Thanks for saying so! I think I’m quoting you when I say, I appreciate the appreciation. 🙂 I’ve wondered where you are, too! (plus, I got a little behind in my posts and didn’t realize how much time had passed.) I’ve been processing some things and feeling heart-worn and therefore, a little uninspired. Then more recently, traveling some spaces over land and sea (well, lakes) and hence, some interruptions of rhythms…

Are we talking about time between your posts or mine? I’ve gone about 2 weeks without post. I too have been processing, and been very worn down – work and heart-wise. You know the sound of heavy stone sliding across stone? i felt like that was the sound of my heart or maybe my soul. Perhaps both. My theme song. Mostly uninspired but also rejecting what little I did have. Refused to write things down and develop them further, appreciate them, share them, etc. Travel would have done me good. New scenery, new breezes. But comfort AND newness can be found without going anywhere, or by returning to the places you have abandoned. Thank you.

I was speaking of both… and oh, my, how I hear you, and echo you in many ways. I’m almost finished something new now… it’s been waiting for today, I guess. Tired of my refusals, I suppose. 🙂

I’m glad it was today. I wouldn’t have wanted to miss it. Here’s to defying our own refusals….

You are really generous, thank you for these kind words – they are… lovely. I don’t drink but I’ll definitely drink something fuzzy to that! To defying our own refusals, indeed.

I don’t really drink that much, will have one on occasion. More it’s the idea of camaraderie. Even if it is as plain as water, let it wet our lips, quench our thirst and ease our hearts. Here’s to you.

Of course, it’s camaraderie! 🙂 …and here’s to you, sir – whetted and quenched and grateful.
